Lithium is a reactive material with a high heat capacity. Lithium is used in a variety of applications including energy storage devices, ceramics, specialty chemicals, and life sciences. Because of its heat capacity properties, it is often used in coolants for heat transfer applications. AMG produces lithium concentrates in a pilot plant, from spodumene in its MIBRA mine, located in Brazil.
